Overview: The Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Director of Senior Services, with day-today reporting and program operations. Senior Citizens are a vulnerable population. Therefore, we expect staff to treat all participants with compassion, understanding and patience. A person with experience working with Senior Citizens is preferred. Responsibilities: Take over for Director of Senior Services in case of vacation or illness during program hours. Answer telephone, record messages and assist with telephone reassurance calls with seniors who are out for an extended period, are home bound or in a care facility to ensure safety and well-being. Responsible for recording daily statistics for meals and transportation service for monthly analysis reports completed by the Director of Senior Services, along with other administrative tasks as needed. Responsible for office filing. Monitor reservations and confirm attendance with participants. Responsible for assisting with counting Senior Program contributions. Requisitos

High School Diploma or 2 years of work experience equivalent. Bilingual individual preferred (English/Spanish). Familiar with Microsoft Office computer programs preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience working in an office and working with senior citizens. Punctuality and reliability are essential. Ability to communicate effectively with Director of Senior Services. Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
