Budbreak is looking for a part-time Forward Deployment Engineer to support field deployments of our autonomous vineyard inspection robots across California. Why Budbreak We're a small but fast-growing ag robotics start-up deploying scouting robots for a diverse range of growers from boutique wineries and large wine producers to individual growers. This role puts you at the intersection of agriculture and cutting-edge robotics in a way few positions can. You'll have direct conversations with winemakers and growers about where the industry is heading: rare, first-hand insight whether you're building a career in ag, agtech, or something entirely your own. You'll also get hands-on exposure to state-of-the-art field robotics and autonomous systems, at a stage when most people are still reading about them.Check out more on our website for what we are doing: https://www.budbreakinnovations.com/ This is a part-time, hourly paid position at $30–$40/hour. About the role This is a hands-on, boots-in-the-dirt position. You'll be responsible for transporting, setting up, and monitoring our robot at customer vineyards and orchards, and serving as the on-site contact for growers during deployment

Requisitos

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to deployment sites throughout California Interest in viticulture, agriculture, or farm operations Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working outdoors in variable weather and terrain A fast learner who picks up new tools and workflows quickly Curiosity about robotics and agtech Preferred Experience with computers and technology Field work experience
