JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Library Aide PT is responsible for assisting with all duties related to providing access to library materials, promoting literacy and library services in the community, and providing general public library service. Additionally, every library staff member’s first responsibility is to provide the highest level of front-line customer service by following these principles: practicing consistency, equitable treatment of all patrons, active listening, going one step further, and doing the right thing. This position may be assigned to the People team, with an emphasis on customer service tasks, the Processes team, with an emphasis on materials handling and collection maintenance, or the Programs team, with an emphasis on assisting with a variety of library classes and events and promoting library services in the community. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interacts with and builds relationships with library patrons. Requisitos

High school degree or equivalent plus six (6) months of customer service experience required. Public library work experience preferred. Experience with Koha ILS/Aspen Discovery Layer and Office 365/Teams preferred. Bilingual in a relevant language preferred. An equivalent combination of experience or education may be considered. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
