FLSA Status: Non-ExemptEmployment Type: Seasonal, Part-TimeDepartment: Parks Reports To: Parks Supervisor Supervises: None Summary: The Park Maintenance Laborer / Parks Grounds Maintenance I is responsible for performing general grounds and park maintenance activities, including mowing, mulching, weeding, edging, trimming, and repair of park elements. This position is also responsible for maintaining tools and equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with park setup and takedown for special events. Work Schedule: This is a seasonal, part-time position. Work hours vary based on operational needs and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requisitos

Minimum age of 15 years. Valid work permit is required, if under 16 years. Experience in park, recreation, facility, or general grounds/landscape maintenance, repair, or construction preferred. Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision. Valid Illinois driver’s license required, if operating vehicles. Must be at least 16 years of age to operate carts and at least 18 years of age to operate road vehicles. Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and hearing test. CPR/AED & First Aid certification is required within 30 days.
