The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Facility Operations Assistants perform a variety of routine unskilled and semiskilled manual tasks related to the operation and maintenance of State owned buildings and facilities, the surrounding grounds, and the vehicles and equipment used in maintaining these sites. The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor, and able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. Candidates may be expected to be qualified to use negative pressure respirators. Valid NYS Drivers license required. OPERATING NEEDS: Valid New York State Driver's License is required. Ability to perform manual labor. Ability to work the full summer schedule. Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.FIRE SAFETY: Ability to assist in the inspection and testing of fire and life safety systems and fire evacuation drills; Ability to perform semi-skilled tasks in the inspection and testing of the University's Fire Hydrants, and testing the University's Eyewash, Sho
