A growing machine shop in League City is seeking a qualified Order Entry Specialist to join their team. This contract-to-hire position is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic team and help ensure the increase in job orders are properly entered to meet manufacturing and delivery deadlines. We are seeking an someone with strong attention to detail, experienced in fast paced manufacturing environments, knowledge of ISO standards, and team player. Position Summary The Order Entry Specialist is an hourly, non-exempt position responsible for accurately reviewing customer contracts and purchase orders and entering orders into the company's ERP system. This role ensures customer requirements, pricing, terms, and delivery conditions are clearly understood and aligned with company capabilities before orders are released to production. The position supports Sales, Production, and Shipping teams and requires strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. High school diploma or GED 1-3 years of experience in order entry, contract review, customer service, or administrative support Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy Ability to read, review, and interpret customer purchase orders and basic contract terms Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions Reliable attendance and punctuality
