About the Role Sandy Paws is looking for a reliable, dog-savvy Dog Daycare Attendant / Dog Handler to join our team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role centered around supervising group play, maintaining a safe and structured environment, and providing high-quality care for dogs in our daycare and boarding programs. Our daycare is a structured, interactive pack environment—not just “free play.” We focus on calm behavior, consistency, and attentive care at all times. This role is best for someone who: Genuinely loves dogs Stays aware and engaged throughout their shift Can remain calm, confident, and proactive in a group setting What You’ll Do Dog Supervision & Safety Supervise group play and ensure safe, appropriate interactions Read dog body language and step in early to prevent issues Safely interrupt and manage conflicts if needed Pack Leadership & Care Maintain calm, structured pack behavior Follow daily routines (feeding, medications, rest time, transitions) Ensure dogs are calm and controlled during movement and transitions Daily Tasks & Facility Care Clean and maintain yards, crates, and common areas Refresh water, prepare meals, and support boarding care Assist with laundry

Requisitos

Strong love for dogs and interest in dog behavior. Calm, attentive, and confident in a group dog environment. Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Reliable, punctual, and consistent. Able to stay on your feet and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather. Team player with strong communication skills. Willingness to learn (training provided — no prior daycare experience required). Driving Qualifications: Valid driver’s license. Clean driving record. Comfortable driving larger vehicles or willing to learn.
