The GIS Analyst / Developer II reports to the Manager, IT or IT Director (Applications) and will be responsible for complete systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, design, technical requirements, coding, testing) implementation for geospatial and other application systems that support agency operations, planning, asset management, and field data workflows. This role is responsible for configuring, administering, developing, and integrating both Esri and open-source GIS technologies into enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, Asset Management, Scheduling, and Planning applications, for the San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans), the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board (JPB), and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA). Essential Functions & Duties Acts as technical team leader and maintains responsibility for analysis, design, and implementation of projects as assigned, including complex and highly specialized applications. Manage the development and implementation of and provide support for business applications, integrations, interfaces, and utilities. Degree in GIS/Geography (Cartography), Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field with major course work in GIS. Five (5) years of experience developing and managing enterprise geographic information systems and databases for one or more of the following environments, asset management, engineering, planning, public health, environmental, and transportation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Technical Qualification Esri’s ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online HTML, advanced JavaScript, and CSS ArcGIS JavaScript API, Dojo, ArcGIS Server & Web Adaptor Python, React, Vue.js, TypeScript, and Arcade, Calcite Knowledge
