Under the direction of the Director of Buildings, Grounds, and Natural Resources, the Park Ambassador is responsible for the effective and efficient supervision, safety and usage of our parks and athletic fields. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Ability to work independently and without supervision Have good communication skills to interact with participants, groups and visitors Ability to make sound decisions Must be able to work outdoors in green and wet areas and in all types of weather Ability to follow Park District rules/policies and enforce them DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Observes and supervises all park areas and activities, specific parks and parking lots. Enforces park rules and regulations for individuals and groups. Reports any illegal activity to local police. Monitors who are using the parks and whose group

Requisitos

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be at least 21 year of age. Must have at least one year of Customer Service experience with good communication skills, problem solving, solid judgement and safety awareness. Ability to speak English and other languages a plus. Knowledge of Athletic games and set up a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing. CPR/AED/First Aid certification required within 6 months of employment.
