EMBRYOLOGIST JUNIOR JOB DESCRIPTION Summary: Perform an array of procedures in an IVF Laboratory. Procedures performed must be attested to by the Dir Laboratory and/or Supv Laboratory. Qualifications: Required - BS Degree from accredited institution with chemical, physical, or biological science as major subject. Reports to: Dir Laboratory, Supv Laboratory or Dir Scientific Work Schedule: Includes weekends and holidays FLSA Classification: Exempt / Non-exempt Key Functions and Responsibilities Perform routine ART procedures including, but not limited to, oocyte retrieval, semen separation, conventional IVF, embryo grading, embryo culture, embryo cryopreservation, embryo warming, assisted hatching and embryo transfer. Upkeep and update all quality control, quality assurance, and safety logs. Participation in all pertinent committees and meetings. Perform sperm motility analysis or mouse embryo assay for proficiency testing (AAB). Data entry- eIVF, Excel, lab data compilation. Media preparation of reagents, inventory/ordering of lab supplies, and IVF Lab maintenance and cleaning. Assist supervisor with FDA / CAP inspection.
