Position Description Position Overview: The Utility Coordinator will work with the Project Managers in the Office of the County Engineer to manage and track utility relocations for Harris County Engineering projects. General responsibilities include utility conflict identification, validation, facility design coordination, utility relocation schedule, metric reporting, executing court actions & completing necessary pay-out items, in addition to attending meetings and field visits as necessary with team members, utility companies, departmental staff, other County agencies, and/or the public. Job Duties: Coordinates the relocation of private and public utility systems such as electric, pipelines, telecommunication, water, sewer, and drainage. Produces monthly status reports for managed areas and leads the utility coordination status meetings. Prepares agenda Items for Commissioners Court, including post-Court action items, requesting purchase orders, and confirming payments. Attends meetings with OCE design groups to brief the Engineering team on relocation status. Requisitos

High School Diploma (GED) with an additional two (2) years of experience in utility coordination, map reading, design, project management, or planning work. OR Associate degree or equivalent education in Engineering, Real Estate, Business, or a related field with one (1) year of experience in utility coordination, map reading, design, project management, or planning work. OR A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Real Estate, business, or a related field may be substituted for experience.
