Position Summary: Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a part-time Archaeological Field Technician to assist with Phase I through Phase III archaeological investigations. A Bachelor’s degree in anthropology or a related field and prior experience in all phases of archaeological investigation are required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Texas and Southeastern United States. Successful applicants will be considered for anticipated long-term projects in the region. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification. Lodging (individual hotel room) and per diem will be provided. Drive time to and from the project area will also be compensated

Requisitos

Bachelor's degree or an Associate’s degree and 5+ years of experience in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field. Completed an accredited archaeological field school. Prior experience in all phases of archaeological investigation. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions. Solid organizational skills, communication skills, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new tasks. Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening. Valid Driver’s License Required. Preferred Experience: Experience with GPS/Trimble navigation and data collection. Experience in CRM-based archaeological survey and/or excavation.
