Responsible for collecting gate fees and checking status of pool passes for residents, non-residents and pool pass holders. This position is a part-time II, non-exempt position that will be hired seasonally. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in answering phone calls for the park district. Checks that pass-holders passes are valid before entering the pool. Takes customers payments for pool gate fees and makes correct change when needed. Assures that customers are provided with excellent customer service. Completes financial close-outs for each shift to be approved by the pool manager on duty. Prepares and counts cash register(s) banks at beginning and end of shifts. Prepares bank bags and deposit tickets and delivers them to the Fitness Center drop safe. Notifies Manager of needed bank, equipment or office supplies and repairs. Replenishes copies of color-coded close-out forms when needed and keeps them organized in the pool desk files. Makes sure gate desk area is clean before, during and the end of shifts. Makes sure waste and garbage is disposed of in park district dumpster. Promotes a positive attitude among staff members and patrons. Must obtain and maintain CPR, first aid and AED

Requisitos

The gate cashier must have a high school degree or equivalent and must have some skill in handling cash, dealing effectively with the public and in working with computers.
