Position Summary The Foster & Volunteer Program Coordinator plays a central role in supporting and growing Rescued Pets Movement’s (RPM) volunteer and foster programs. This position oversees recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and ongoing engagement for volunteers, while also supporting the coordination and placement of dogs into foster homes. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role that sits at the intersection of people and animal care. You will work closely with volunteers, fosters, and internal teams to ensure pets are safely placed, properly supported, and prepared for transport. The right candidate is highly organized, people-focused, comfortable making quick decisions, and motivated by RPM’s mission to save homeless pets. A genuine love for animals, especially rescue dogs and cats, is essential. RPM’s work directly impacts the lives of homeless pets every day. Requisitos

Experience working with dogs and cats required (shelter, vet clinic, daycare, boarding, or similar) Experience coordinating people, schedules, or logistics strongly preferred Experience in customer-facing, hospitality, or high-interaction roles is a plus Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships quickly Highly organized with strong time management Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Clear, direct communicator Practical understanding of dog behavior and handling Problem-solving mindset with the ability to act quickly and decisively Proficient with email, spreadsheets, and shared systems Experience with Canva or social media tools is a bonus Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperamen
